Custom Galvanised Lightwell Grill For Parking Space
For this project, we supplied and installed a custom made galvanised lightwell grill to the front of a basement bay window located within a parking area. The existing opening required a heavy duty, secure solution that could withstand vehicle proximity, foot traffic, and long-term outdoor exposure.
A full site survey was carried out to assess levels, fixing points, drainage clearance, and access requirements. Based on the measurements taken on site, a precise, made-to-measure lightwell grill was fabricated to ensure a clean fit with the surrounding masonry and window frame.
The grill was manufactured from galvanised steel for corrosion resistance and strength, making it suitable for exposed external conditions. The finished unit was bolt fixed into position for added security and ease of future maintenance. Installation was completed on site by our mobile welders, working efficiently and safely with minimal disruption.
This type of installation is ideal for basement windows, bay window lightwells, and properties where safety, load strength, and durability are essential. The completed grill provides secure protection while maintaining airflow and light into the basement space.
