Handrails For Elderly People
JT Metalworks Ltd was commissioned to design, fabricate and install two bespoke handrails to improve safe access for elderly residents. This involved a custom-made garden access handrail at the rear of the property and a custom-made open-close front garden handrail for easy and secure entry to the home. The existing access points were difficult to use and posed safety concerns, especially for individuals with reduced mobility. Our team carried out a full on-site assessment to understand the user’s needs, ensuring the new handrails delivered maximum stability, comfort and independence.
The handrails were fabricated from high-quality steel, ensuring long-term durability and exceptional grip support. Each handrail was fully custom-made to the precise height, length and ergonomic requirements of the client. The rear garden handrail provides safe access between the house and the garden, while the front garden open-close handrail features a pivoting design that allows the homeowner to open the rail for easy passage and close securely when not in use. This offers both convenience and enhanced safety.
Both handrails were treated with a protective finish to ensure longevity in all weather conditions. As all components were fabricated in-house and installation was completed on site, a seamless fit is guaranteed.
