WHAT IS A BALUSTRADE
Though you might not know exactly what a balustrade is, you probably encounter one more often than you’d expect. Found lining many staircases and terraces, a balustrade is a row of small columns topped by a rail.
BUILDING REGULATION FOR METAL BALUSTRADE
All of our balustrades are fully compliant with the latest Building Regulations.
None of our balustrade designs has bars with more than 99mm gaps, As per building regulations, we always recommend a height of 11100mm if the drop to the floor is more than 600mm (raised decking, balconies etc)
For interior balustrades, the overall height should be between 900mm and 1000mm.
GLASS and STAINLESS STEEL grade 316
From raised floors to staircases, balconies to mezzanines, terraces to patios, there are plenty of places that benefit from glass balustrades. Made with strong tempered glass, also known as toughened glass, this type of glass panel is very difficult to break.
Our toughened and laminated glass balustrades are suitable for indoor or outdoor installation, in both residential and commercial buildings.

We’re skilled in the manufacture and repair of all types of bannisters and balustrades in wrought iron and cast iron.
Following manufacture, our metalwork could have a hot-dip galvanised finish to protect against rust and be finished in your choice of colour.
S275JR grade steel is a readily weldable low-carbon manganese steel with good impact resistance.
